2026 Dukes Selects Coach and Player Information
CMHA is pleased to announce that we will be continuing with the Selects program at both U13 and U15 for the 2025-2026 season.
Selects is category of minor hockey which offers house league players a supplementary program to develop and explore their skills. Selects sits between HL A and Rep B. As such, the tryout process is limited to those playing at the House League “A” level.
The Dukes Selects season will start in January 2026 and terminate with the end of the House League season. We will have 2 teams – one for U13 and one for U15. Each team will consist of up to 17 skaters and 2 goalies. Teams can consist of both major and minor players.
As a participant on a Selects team your player can expect:
- No more than 3 exhibition games per month, funded by the team
- Potential to participate in a tournament
- Team fees not to exceed $250 per player
- Fair play rules do apply
- Selects activities cannot interfere with regular season games or tournaments
There will be a Selects scrimmage session held in early December (more details to follow). Following that session, the teams will be announced. Team selections will be made by a committee, based on regular season performance leading up to, and including, the scrimmage.

NOTE: You do not need to be a current Head Coach to be considered, but all applicants must already be fully certified to serve as a Head Coach.
Candidates must apply by November 14. Coach interviews will be held by the end of November.
