🏒 CMHA DEVELOPMENT INFORMATION NIGHT – Tuesday, September 29

CMHA is excited to invite players and parents to our Development Information Night on September 29.

As we continue building our development program for the 2026/27 season, we want to give families a better understanding of the opportunities available to players throughout their CMHA journey—from U9 through U18.

What will we talk about?
🏒 CMHA Development Program
Learn more about our new Development structure, including our Technical Director and Technical Assistant roles, development programming, supplemental skill opportunities, and how we will support teams and coaches throughout the season.

👥 Developing Players Across U9–U18
We’ll discuss our focus on creating a more consistent development pathway across CMHA, including increased attention to younger players and the Dukes program.

📈 Understanding the Junior Hockey Pathway
We’ll be joined by the CCHL Director of Operations to help U15–U18 players and families better understand Junior hockey, including preparation, drafts, combines, camps and recruiting opportunities.
This is about education—not recruitment. Not every player will pursue Junior hockey, but families should have access to information early enough to understand the pathway and make informed decisions if that becomes a goal.

💪 Off-Ice Development
We’ll also explore opportunities around age-appropriate strength, conditioning, mobility and athletic development, including potential programming with Orléans CrossFit.

🏆 Additional Development Opportunities
We’ll discuss how CMHA may leverage experienced Grads alumni and other qualified development resources to provide additional support where it complements the CMHA Development Team and our overall development plan.

Our Goal
We want families to have a clearer picture of the complete player journey:

DEVELOP → PREPARE → UNDERSTAND THE PATHWAY → IDENTIFY OPPORTUNITIES
Most importantly, this evening is about making sure players and families know what resources are available, what they should be working toward, and where they can find support as they progress through CMHA.

We look forward to seeing you on September 29 at 6:30 PM.
