Jr Grads - Major Peewee B - Team ID 599009
Coach Welcome Message

My name is Bob Hocquard, and I am proud to have been selected as Head Coach for the Major Peewee B Jr. Grads this coming season.  I have been coaching (several sports) for 8 years now, however this will be my first season as a Head Coach for competitive hockey.  I have been involved in hockey my whole life, and I have a true love of the game, which is why I still play today.   My job as a firefighter has taught me that HARD WORK and TEAMWORK are a great combination for success.

I will expect my players to be prepared for each ice-time, both mentally and physically.  My team will be fast and relentless, never giving up, always communicating, learning from mistakes and moving forward to become a better team both on, and off the ice.  My “Coaching Philosophy”, when it comes to hockey, is hard work and teamwork will lead to improvement, but that burning desire to NOT BE BEAT makes a great hockey team.  My practices will challenge my players to do things they think they can’t do, but by mid-season, they will conquer these challenges with the support of the coaching staff and each other.  This will bring cohesiveness to our group, and create an atmosphere of support for each other.

Tryouts
Tryouts will be held once the AA tryouts are complete.  All assessors will be non-parents or people without ties to players on the ice.  I will require the assistance of some parents for opening and closing doors during evaluations, these people will have no say during the selection process.  There will be no coaching during this time.  Releases will begin after the second ice-time, and will be found on the Grads website (depending on numbers).  Should there be any questions about released players, I ask that parents take the 24-hour rule, and I will be happy to answer any questions after that.
Keep an eye on the website to find ice-times as we get closer to the season.

If you have any questions I can be reached via email at Robert.hocquard@gmail.com

Thank You.

Bob Hocquard
